About the Event

All are welcome to join us in the Woods! This intimate evening concert from Sara Routh will take place at the newly birthed Center For Belonging Folk School in Decorah, IA.

Sara Routh is a Des Moines native who's traveled around the world bringing her music to audiences across the globe. Her engaging spirit on stage draws the listener to pause, sit and emotionally experience each performance. Routh has won accolades for her songwriting since 2006 and continues to develop new sounds throughout her musical journey. A strong vocal talent, Routh's ability to balance lyrics, sense of style and rhythm leaves her audiences wanting a return performance. She has been compared to the incredible talents of Ella Fitzgerald and Joni Mitchell. Sara Routh is a musical force of nature who continues to embrace community and life, bringing each reality to song.

The stage, a large sugar loom built at Fern Hollow is indeed a magical space to share musical vulnerability and community realness.

This is a FREE concert! Donations are encouraged as all proceeds will go directly toward the growth of CFB Folk School. The Center for Belonging nurtures grassroots community connection in spacious time through celebration, ritual, play, song, story, art, food, craft, and learning together with nature. We are non-experts working together to offer authentic alternatives to the perfectionism, isolation, and rush of modern society. We create simple and welcoming ways for connecting humans of all ages to spirit, land, and one another.

Chairs and benches will be provided. You may bring your own seating, blanket, nighttime picnic etc. We do still encourage social distancing in order to keep our community safe.
